About Me
Steven Chien is the Director of Transportation Program and Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He holds B.S. degree from Tamkang University in Taiwan and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Maryland at College Park. Before appointed by NJIT, he worked for China Engineering Consultants Inc. (Taipei, Taiwan), University of Maryland (College Park, MD), Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), and Information Dynamic Inc. (Washington, D.C.) on various transportation projects and developed a traffic simulation software CORSIM for FHWA.
