About Me
Fatemeh Ahmadpoor earned her Ph.D. from University of Houston in 2016 under the supervision of Prof. Pradeep Sharma. She was a postdoc associate at Brown University during 2017-2019, working with Prof. Huajian Gao. She joined the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at NJIT as an Assistant Professor in Fall 2019. Fatemeh is the recipient of several awards including The NSF I-Corps Site grant at NJIT, Cullen College of Engineering Best Dissertation Award and Future Faculty Program Certificate. Her research interests include enhanced electromechanical properties of soft materials, entropic effects and finite temperature properties of flexible nanostructure as well as interaction of nanostructures with biological systems.
