About Me

Manail Anis Ahmed is an educator and convener on AI, emerging technologies and global entrepreneurship with extensive educational administration and management experience. She has led the establishment of organizations and institutions for learning, research and scholarship in South Asia and the Middle East. She has also architected government regulation, knowledge management infrastructure, and human capital development strategy for an entirely new global city and economic zone. She currently engages with higher education through adjunct teaching and curricular development focused on emerging technologies. 

Manail has led a global research group at the Center for AI & Digital Policy in Washington DC, and is a member of the Inclusive AI workstream for the World Economic Forum's AI Governance Alliance. She is also a Public Voices Fellow for Equality Now, advocating for the economic participation of women and girls globally. After being a visiting lecturer at Princeton University in Technology and AI Ethics, in addition to lecturing at NJIT she also teaches Biotechnology Entrepreneurship at Johns Hopkins University.
