About Me
Plavini Punyatoya is an assistant professor of digital marketing at the Martin Tuchman School of Management, New Jersey Institute of Technology. She conducts research in the areas of digital marketing strategy, online consumer behavior, branding, marketing strategy, AI acceptance, and sustainable consumption. She earned her Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. She has nearly nine years of experience, and has taught various courses such as Digital Marketing, Strategic Marketing Management, Marketing Research, Principles of Marketing, etc. She completed the fellow program in management at the Indian Institute of Management Indore. She holds a Master of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and a Bachelor of Technology from Biju Patnaik University of Technology. Her research has been featured in notable academic journals, including the Journal of Brand Management, Marketing Intelligence & Planning, Journal of International Consumer Marketing, and Business Process Management Journal, highlighting her contributions to academics. In recent years, her research has garnered significant recognition in the marketing discipline. She is the co-winner of the 2023 Institute for the Study of Business Markets (ISBM) Doctoral Dissertation Award, co-winner of the 2022 USCA Research Proposal Award, and recipient of the 2023 UNL Department of Marketing Award for Excellence in Research.
