Ron Bekkerman
About Me
Dr. Ron Bekkerman is the Director of the Leir Research Institute for Business, Technology, and Society at NJIT.

Ron is a technology executive, educator, and expert in AI, machine learning, and big data science. Most recently serving as the CTO of Cherre, Ron has previously been a data science professor, a venture capitalist, a startup founder, and an industrial researcher. He has published over 40 papers, initially focusing primarily on machine learning and later expanding into various disciplines where his big data expertise unlocked new research opportunities. Ron serves on the advisory board of NJIT Institute for Data Science and on the organizing committee of KDD - the #1 data science academic conference.
