Dr. Xu joined in 2014 upon finishing his joint postdoctoral training between Harvard and MIT. He completed his Ph.D. at Northwestern University under the supervision of Prof. Chad Mirkin

Research Interests
His research focus is the development of novel biomaterials and nanotechnologies for a variety of medical applications including diagnosis, bioimaging, drug delivery, and regenerative medicine. He looks at both fundamental and applied questions in the cross-disciplinary fields of biomaterials and medicine in order to develop novel therapeutic methods for the treatment of cancer, obesity, and cardiovascular disease.
