Andrew Winter is a law enforcement professional with over two decades of investigative experience in New Jersey. Andrew has an extensive background conducting homicide and crime scene investigations and is a fully trained forensic firearm examiner. As a forensic science topic expert, Andrew has testified as an expert witness in state and federal court numerous times.
Currently, Andrew serves as the counterterrorism coordinator and supervises a county counterterrorism unit in New Jersey. This unit is tasked to investigate and mitigate threats of terrorism and to disseminate terrorism-related intelligence with local, state, and federal law enforcement partners.

Research has been presented at regional and national forensic conferences. Andrew has been published in various professional journals/newsletters and has given guest lectures/presentations on various topics related to forensic science regionally and nationally. Andrew serves on the committee for Vicarious Trauma at the American Academy of Forensic Sciences. Research interests include resiliency, leadership, ethics, ballistics, and crime scene investigation.
