About Me
Drew Ciccolo’s fiction has appeared in Tin House 66 and The Masters Review Vol. III. His nonfiction has appeared in the anthology Into Sanity (2019). He has an MFA in fiction and a PhD in American Studies, both from Rutgers-Newark, where he also taught for many years. He teaches first-year-writing and a senior seminar course on monsters at NJIT.

Teaching Interests
Teaching interests include first-year-writing, monster literature and media, the craft of fiction and narrative, American literature, “the American fantastic,” science fiction, and U.S. history.
Research Interests
Areas of research specialization include fiction and narrative, speculative fiction, the fantastic, “magical realism” (contentious term), U.S. cultural history, and philosophies of transcendence and immanence.
