Fatima Matos
Drawing on her previous experience in Auxiliary Services at Essex County College, Ms. Matos has helped facilitate events that range from large-scale events run by the state, local government entities, and non-profits to smaller-scale events run by enthusiastic community members. From small classes run bi-weekly to large community gatherings, she believes that when a host isn’t bogged down with planning details and worries, they can focus on running their event in more engaging ways that benefit their attendees. Attendees who also have an enjoyable experience are more likely to continue participating in future events and further engage with others within their community in positive ways. As the Events Coordinator at NJIT’s Center for Community Systems, she is responsible for assisting with the marketing and facilitating logistics activities for the Center for Community Systems’ engagement and educational events (webinars, workshops, conference panels, etc.). She ensures that the center’s goal of providing wide-reaching and critical external support via its programs such as NJIT TAB, is facilitated in fun and informative ways. If you see her at a future Center for Community Systems or NJIT TAB event, come over and say “hi!”
