About Me
Glenn Goldman is a Professor in the Hillier College of Architecture and Design and was the Founding Director of the School of Art + Design at NJIT with responsibility for programs in Digital Design, Industrial Design, and Interior Design from the inception of the School in 2008 until July 2020 at which time he returned to teaching full time. He was instrumental in the transformation of the School of Architecture at NJIT into the more comprehensive College of Architecture and Design in 2008. Goldman received the Master in Architecture degree from Harvard University following his receipt of the Bachelor of Arts degree (summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa) from Columbia University. He is author of “Architectural Graphics: Traditional and Digital Communication” (Prentice Hall, 1997), and is also the author or co-author of more than fifty papers published and/or presented at conferences and/or magazines and journals. He is a registered architect in Massachusetts, New Jersey, and New York, a licensed Professional Planner in New Jersey, and holder of NCARB certification. He was the 16th president of ACADIA, the Association for Computer-Aided Design in Architecture, and served as a representative for the organization on the editorial board of the International Journal of Architectural Computing in 2012 and 2013. He is a Pioneer Member of ACM/SIGGRAPH and is the Chair of the international ACM SIGGRAPH Education Committee and the ACM SIGGRAPH Distinguished Educators Award Committee. He was the Education Liaison for SIGGRAPH 2013 and Courses Chair in 2015 and serves as the faculty advisor for the NJIT Chapter of ACM/SIGGRAPH for the Digital Design program. He is a professional member of the International Interior Design Association and a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects. Goldman has received awards for teaching, research, and creative work including more than 1600 awards/citations for photography.
