About Me
Mitchell's work centers on the intersections of science and technology with law and environmental social movements in the nuclear era. Focusing on radiological risk, her research examines the production of environmental inequality in the United States and transnationally. She earned her Ph.D. in History and Sociology of Science from the University of Pennsylvania. She also holds a J.D., previously practiced law in Pennsylvania ,and served as a law clerk to Judge Anthony J. Scirica of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
